Bengal Classical Music Festival is an annual event focusing on South Asian classical music which gathers various well-known artists from different countries. In 2016, for their 5th event they wanted us to create the event's key visual to portray the energy classical music carries with it.
The client, Bengal foundation, uses an iconic sculpture of a musician sitting with his musical instrument as the souvenir for the artists.
We visualized Raaga, the core musical element of Indian classical music as a flowing wave around the contours of the sculpture, that symbolizes the musician, creating an abstract musical fabric, rendered by the colors generated from the 5 different Raagas based on 5 different times of a day: Dusk, Morning, Noon, Evening, and Dawn.
